CT is good at Ponzis, but it rarely discusses how Twitter itself is a Ponzi. The faster you join this status pyramid scheme, the better off you get. When you reach 40k followers, you can tweet 'gm' and still get 172 likes. Farcaster has some of these mechanics but tries to create an alternative path with channels.

^I know that's ironic that I'm writing that, since I have 70k+ followers and even if I post something something bad I get 10 likes from Korean bots. But I know the pain of being a new user on a social network and I think 'redistribution of distribution' is a noble goal to follow.

In eugene wei 's status as a service essay, he argues about the similarity between ico and social networks. Being nearly definitely helps

The value of followers seem to vary a lot though. Seen examples where some have pointed out that mainstream influencers with 1M+ followers can get less engagement on subjects than people with only 10k followers but greater perceived expertise on the subject

We have been trying to post regular content on farcaster for a couple of months and we are struggling to get more followers/engagement from our outer circle. I find that CT works slightly better in that aspect.
