Eric Balchunas, an exchange-traded fund (ETF) analyst for Bloomberg, has raised the possibility of several new cryptocurrency ETFs being approved in 2025.
He predicts that first, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) ETFs will be approved, followed by Litecoin (LTC) and Hedera (HBAR), and finally Solana (SOL) and Ripple (XRP).
Balchunas believes that some cryptocurrencies, such as Litecoin and Hedera, have a better chance of approval because they are not recognized as unregistered securities by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
