What Frames benefits from is that a Farcaster client is a wallet-enabled experience, and the user interacting with the Frame is sending a signature back to the server. So the server can get the public key for that user and do some on-chain action, as long as it covers the tx cost.

There are similarities here with embedded / flat wallet systems. Of course someone could build a service that lets users delegate control to a contract and top it up with their own funds, and then when they interact with a frame the contract uses their balance for any write action.
