- was there any consideration of a non-extension based app? Either PWA based or native?
- was there any consideration of adding non-evm chains?

Hi @schorn.eth! Do you mean a native app on mobile? We have MetaMask on both iOS and Android. No PWA. 

As for desktop, for now we only have MetaMask extension for desktop browsers. 

Our focus for non-EVM chains is to add them via Snaps. MetaMask now supports over 30 non-EVM chains through Snaps!

An interesting! I didn't know about snaps.

I meant native on desktop, like Ledger Live.

Ah I thought so. We do not have any plans to launch a native app on desktop. I would be happy to hear what you would want in a native desktop app though!

It's really only a preference thing - makes multitasking perhaps slightly easier, and allows you to put an icon directly on your dock.

Extensions can be fully functional on par with native apps. But something about using Ledger Live as a native app feels really good. Even though Metamask is often even more functional.
