ironically, degens are some of the best users to recruit in the past to battletest applications and unproven financial primitives. is it quality informative content? no, but as far as "venture-scale social network", this may be underappreciated as far as financialization goes. still think promotion should extend more

to clarify, I think $degen itself has not really met my expectations. the memes & promotion has stuck w/ farcaster audience (not guerilla IRL or web2), the airdrop/farm2 is years-old besides being really speculative Po(social)W, & it doesn't hurt to have spending options for intrinsically valuable goods/services.

fair point, but as far as currency goes, this is the minor leagues. people may be extrinsically motivated to balance liquidity & risk for a good/service they'd already be confident to spend harder value on otherwise. imagine there was anon compute credit, or hostel space, purchasable w/ degen. the calculus would change

$degen getting added to more and more FC-native apps is really cool bottom-up token adoption @bountycaster now accepts $degen, @antimofm.eth accepts degen for design requests, more and more adoption is happening
