interesting, one'd think that both would be comorbid in any "one who walks away from omelas" scenario (i.e. there's bandwagoning whether or not the conspiracy is real b/c defection is common w/ this culture). from an evolutionary standpoint, this is almost the perfect setup for a steady rotation of outcasts that find deviant pathways to undiscovered resources, as the main resource management is abundant enough to be seen as a conspiracy.
