Possibly in the not too far distant future, we'll look towards building AI data centers in space, in GEO/LEO, on asteroids, and other moons & planets etc -- and look less towards using the existing resources on earth to construct gigantic electricity hogging data centers

I've been thinking about this recently, is this what endstage civilizations do near an event horizon? just receive bundles of von Neumann probe discrepancies & hyperscale for the sake of any outstanding physics?

in the short-term, interferometry bottlenecks at the amount of signal (iirc), so that's probably lindy.
