✒️Joining the crowd in order to gain acceptance from others is like sleeping on the bed of Procrustes in ancient Greek mythology. Passengers used to sleep on this bed on the way to Athens. If they were smaller than that, they would be stretched until they were the same size as this bed, and if they were bigger than that, their hands and feet would be cut off to be the same size as the bed.
