🧵1/2 I have worked as an art director at illustration for more than 10 years. With my team we focused on children storybooks and always worked really good. However this year the work decreased and a lot. The impact of AI for creating images has deeply affected the way we work and I have been noticing this specially since last year but now it just exploded in our faces. We can't compete with books created with AI cause prices are wide wide cheaper and production is faster, my team works digitally but with handmade art. I am not saying I am against AI cause I'm not is just like being against the evolution of technology and I'm not. I understand how useful it is and how can fasten and improve a lot of tasks ans processes.

2/2 I am just wondering where this will lead us. Maybe this is the end of my path as an art director, or just will paused this for now the moment. Maybe this is a new era where handmade illustration will be valuable for its rarity and singularity, as well as it's happening at least to me with my psychical art, a lot of people value it more than 10 years ago. Since 2021 this space gave me the opportunity to focus in my art career which has been my will since I was a child and since I got my fine art degree later. So I will focus in this for the moment and see what happens in the future. Thank U all who have been supporting and believing in me. I'm here to stay
