Starbucks jumped straight to NFTs. Seems like a first step would be tokenizing gift cards and rewards points. What would be the pros and cons of doing that?

Currencies sure, but securities doesn’t pass the Howey test here. I imagine they’re jumping into NFTs now to be ready for digital Christmas collectibles.

I could see tokenized points coming under more regulatory scrutiny since it could be argued that they resemble currencies or securities
