• You can test with a video shot from your phone, as that will definitely be a compatible filetype/codec for Farcaster

Also, if you'd like to be allowlisted for video upload, send me a direct cast (DCs are open); I've been gathering allowlist requests and passing them along to the FC dev team daily (or so).

Who can I talk to at Farcaster about the upload limits for videos and GIF's, and about photo compression?

I genuinely believe we can build up an incredible culture of art-sharing here (and onboard exponentially more artists/collectors/curators/galleries) with just a few tweaks to things. 🤝

If they can manage compression better than the other app I won’t care if I’m allowed one video a week it will be worth it
