telegram isn't perfect and mostly isn't e2e encrypted - we get it (everyone remotely smart about this stuff has known this forever). doesn't mean durov deserves life in prison. doesn't mean TG isn't a powerful anti-authoritarian tool. perfect enemy of good.

Curious to hear takes on Pavel Durov and TG from actual Russians. Personally not a fan of the Russian government but have come to realize how much US media is garbage when it comes to Russia. (Always has been)

was going to wrap up my thoughts on that tonight, but wijuwiju already had done it much better than i ever would. 

so, aside from that, media is always garbage, they always try to instill what we “should” feel. the major reason why i started searching for foreign connections when i was 15yo was that it struck me one day that i had prejudice towards americans and germans.. although i was always perceiving everything with a clear mind (as i thought). was just watching the news on tv 🥲
