my superpower (or not?) is that i can't listen to lots of songs in my native language because lyrics seem too cringe; yet, with english - i understand the words, but when listening to a song in it, i think of vocals more like of another instrument, not sth that carries additional meaning (not always, but quite often), so i can consume much more content like it (and it's much more pleasing)

when i was a kid, i'd listen to the radio and it had those US top hits on it, and i hadn't started learning english yet back then, so i'd write down (or just memorize) the "lyrics" - in reality made of funny imaginary words that made literally no sense

lol in a way me too i know the "lyrics" to a some songs in languages i dont understand and all i really know is sounds that are vaguely similar to the lyrics language 🤣
