imo the real reason why American men lift the way we do is bc there is a huge, culturally endorsed amount of American boys w body dysmorphia and getting “jacked” is the mechanism through which they’re taught to “fix it”

this can go way beyond US and get to LATAM, practically anywhere

it may sound like a “pick me” opinion but come on, it’s not the same but men also struggle internally in their ways

and this series of casts tell you about this, truly worth reading to get you thinking and rethinking! men are also human beings :)
