Trump himself: “If we don't win this election, I don't think you're going to have another election in this country. If I don't get elected, it's going to be a bloodbath for the whole country." Responding that Trump attempted to overturn a free and fair election (and is therefore a threat) just seems pragmatic.

I totally disagree with this line of thinking. Can also twist words for dems too, Biden recently said he wanted to put Trump in the bullseye. Did he call for an assassination? Of course not. I’m not a fan of either candidate or party but attempting to assassinate a politician is never the answer. Need to tune down the rhetoric, not double down on insanity

I am just saying Trump's rhetoric for the last 8 years has been incendiary as fuck and that he also *did actually try to over throw a legal and fair election.* It's just insane not to be able to point out that he did that without people claiming I'm "pouring gasoline on the fire." He is a threat to democracy.

I disagree. He ultimately left office. The whole threat to democracy talking point is nonsense. Democrats changed the primary process to ensure Biden couldn’t be challenged. Now donors and influential dems are calling for him to step down so they can insert the candidate of their choice. Doesn’t sound like a party defending democracy to me.

It's not nonsense. Why isn't Mike Pence his running mate anymore? Because he pressured him to send an alternative slate of electors. I am sorry bro but I won't take part in whitewashing history because I watched it all play out with my own eyes. The incumbent dem is always the nominee biden had no legit challenger.

He doesn’t have a challenger because they changed the long ingrained primary laws!!! Biden is a corpse and has an atrocious track record going back to his days in the senate. Sorry, I’m also not going to defend a party that is parasitic to the country

My brother no one wanted to challenge him. Not one prominent Democrat. The sitting president is always the de facto nominee. That's how this shit has always worked. Claiming the way things always have gone is antidemocratic is nonsense.

No one wanted to challenge him because the rules were changed for him. If no one wanted to challenge him then why are we in mid summer (primary season) and have prominent dems, donors, and media loudly calling for him to drop out? Sorry man, I’m not going to excuse away corruption from either party (they’re nearly identical btw)

Because the debate performance was just that bad. It doesn't mean everything is a big conspiracy. And it doesn't mean all the rules weren't properly followed according to the law. DNC can set the rules they want. Again Trump pressured his VP to send an alternative slate of electors to overturn an election.

Yes, their recently amended “rules” were followed. DNC isn’t the will of the people and their moves aren’t “defending democracy”. Nor is having a president who clearly isn’t mentally capable of handling the role (fair to question if Trump is also) I see very little to like or defend with either party but I’m happy to point out obvious criticisms. Also, these events can’t be discussed in a vacuum. DNC moves from 2016 & 2020 are very relevant to all of these topics since they showed a total lack of integrity

The only thing I will say to this is that all of us have the ability to participate in the democratic parties process... if we want to make sure we have better outcomes we have to start now with an eye for 20 years from now. The DNC fucked up, is what it is. But nothing about it was outside of the norms.
