My question for all social media’s, even Farcaster, is why let us have the option of liking our own shares/casts/posts? 

Wouldn’t it make more sense just to…not have that option?

There's a few replies mentioning self-love and that's most certainly the best reason, something I hadn't thought of before 🫂

Maybe someone likes what they do so much, who knows 🤷

Can I ask why you do this? And why does it seem weird to do it after the first minute?

Very occasionally I choose to like my own posts, but only in the first minute or so, otherwise it seems weird.

Recasting and quoting is totally understandable, I’m just confused at the option to like our own posts! It’s never made any sense to me personally 😫

Makes no sense in my opinion having this option to like your own posts.

On reddit you automatically upvote your own post so it starts at 1 and not at 0 🤷‍♂️

I like and recast my own post because sometimes I think I'm being funny but nobody likes so I do it to feel better about myself. Love yourself
