For everyone new to Farcaster & tipping with $DEGEN, please be aware that if you reply to someone who just tipped you with a tip - both will lose the tip.

Unaware of what happens to the $DEGEN actually, but I do know both won’t receive the tips then.

I agree with this rule though, it would be way too easy to abuse!

I keep seeing this - PSA this is absolutely not true

you'll get flagged if you are doing abusive stuff or something blatantly wrong (tipping 50k to your best friend every day and they hit you back etc)

you do not get flagged for sending $degen to someone who sent it to you as part of a normal human interaction

I think we need an official statement from $DEGEN itself because I know of quite many accounts who have expressed their tips being off from what they expected because of having done this!

You can say thank you, just avoid tipping back directly on the cast they sent you with a tip in it! You’ll both lose your tips! 

If you want to tip them back as a thank-you, find a cast of theirs you like on their account and share the love. 🌸

I heard about this but I was never sure if it was true. I saw even large accounts do this cross-tipping, so it’s for sure not something that is well known.

Does this mean tip replying to any other post by someone who just tipped you? Or does it mean tip replying directly to a tip reply from someone else? Guessing the latter
