this reminded me of when i was 11, i made it to the finals of a competition but ended up placing 5th out of 7.

i was devastated…

but in the end, i was the one who got to travel and perform at tons of concerts all over europe. and i’m still friends with a lot of promoters from that event.

so the lesson was — it’s not about where you place, it’s about making the most of every opportunity that comes your way.
