Idk man, there’s countless reputable scientific studies out there by now that have for decades proven how bad for our mental health all this excess artificial light is. I wouldn’t say it’s unclear, it’s just another issue people divide on, like everything else. If there’s a design issue, maybe it’s as simple as designing for dark mode, instead designing the dark version of light mode.

What I mean is that there’s no proof that dark mode is undeniably healthier than light mode. Just because screens emit less bright pixels doesn’t mean it’s easier on the eyes.

Well, I mean unless you can just say that your own eyes feel a difference when staring at a darker screen, which would be the proof that they say doesn’t exist…
