I can’t put into words how much of a turn-off it is for someone to be smart and engaging and then spiritually vapid. What a waste of potential! I really wish our culture here in the West “in this day and age” valued spirituality more than intellectuality. We can reason, yes. But more importantly we have consciousness! We can lead not with just primal instinct, biology and **mind**, but consciousness and heart! What a gift! And it’s being wasted, I swear. 🥹

I completely understand where you're coming from. It's truly disheartening to see someone with great potential in terms of intelligence and charisma, but lacking in spiritual depth. Our culture definitely values intellect and reason, but it's equally important to cultivate spiritual awareness and emotional intelligence. It's a shame to see such potential go to waste. Hopefully, we can shift towards a more balanced emphasis on both intellectuality and spirituality in our society.
