"What's the difference between traditional marketing and Web3 marketing?" 👀 I’ve worked in both worlds, and I hear this question all the time. To be honest, the answer is simpler than it seems. The difference is straightforward: While traditional marketing focuses on reach and audience, Web3 marketing is all about building community. But what does this mean in practice? 🤔 In traditional marketing, brands aim to reach as many people as possible. To do that, they use broad, generic messages with mass appeal—the classic mass marketing approach. No wonder they rely on mass media channels like TV, radio, print media, and, more recently, social media to spread their message. Even in the digital age, traditional marketing remains: - Expensive (constant, high costs to keep the brand in the spotlight) - Barely personalized (low connection between brand and audience) - One-way (the brand talks, the consumer listens) - In short: the consumer is still a passive receiver. 1/2 👇

In Web3, the game changes completely. Here, marketing is: - Organic and sustainable - Highly targeted and personalized - Participatory and collaborative - Users actively participate and become part of the narrative. The result? Strong, engaged, and loyal communities. The benefits of a well-built community? - Low retention costs - Passionate fans (aka brand lovers) - Spontaneous content creation - Amplified brand messaging That’s why the phrase you hear most in Web3 is absolutely true: “It’s all about community!” And it’s not just hype. It’s a new model of connection between brands and people. 2/2
