My parents' cat is an independent adult unit. He decides when he will be taken to the village so that he can take a walk and enjoy the snow.

During the warmer months, my parents live in the countryside, but in winter they usually live in an apartment. Sultan doesn't like the apartment, so he starts a row there and asks to "take a walk" by meowing at the door. That’s why my parents take him to the countryside on Friday and open a warm veranda for him so that if he gets tired of walking, he can sleep there in the warmth. They return to him from the city twice a day to feed and check on him. They try to take him with them (well, suddenly he wants to return to the apartment), but he hides. On Sunday evening, Dad tricks him into returning to the apartment. (It seems to me there will be a moment when all the tricks of the dad will not work)

Sultan doesn't mind the snow at all, he walks on it and looks very regal against its background.(I’ll share photos later)
Buuut I think the grass and warm weather are better for him, of course)
