It’s because we live in a system that is binary. Being critical of democrats is the same as being republican & vice versa. It’s amazing how quickly crypto has forgotten its general anti state principles. Actually quite frustrating how it has been co-opted. I’m happy Trump will pump my bags and likely give crypto protections & legitimacy it’s never had. But I’m still a staunch advocate of anti state principles.

I don’t know. I think you might be underestimating the dual effects of cutting services while increasing inflation. For instance, many people will have to start filling in the gaps for older family members if medical costs increase significantly without the grants etc that helped keep costs down - basically taking on more dependents while having less available spending power.

I think people in general conflate the health of Main Street to that of Wall Street. Covid markets recovered fast as hell but people were hurting. The S&P500 just notched an ATH & people are hurting. In short, markets have decorrelated from humans.
