i did have turtles b4 the ones i have now but they died a tragic death

i had two tiny turtles when i was in elementary school and the pet store lady gave me HORRIBLE advice on how to care for them so they died
i know now what i did wrong because i have two full grown huge versions of the ones that died and it makes me feel sick every time i think about it
