I want to backpedal a bit on my cast last week regarding memecoins. It was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to the changing meta here, but after having some time to think about it, my thoughts have changed significantly:

Any tokens that originate on Farcaster and get attention on CT and bring new users here is net positive for Farcaster - I believe this is true whether these tokens have utility or not.

Farcaster native projects (Degen, Moxie, Clanker, ANON, BDE, Higher, TN100x, etc) generating wealth for investors will be the primary driver of FC growth.

These projects are more on the same team than they are competitors - they are all aligned on benefitting from more FC DAU.

Its not about competing to increase your percentage of the pie, its about working together to grow the size of the entire pie.

I probably still won't be investing in memecoins here, but I am now in support of this meta as I do believe this is Farcaster's path to growth.

Everyone should be careful about it, most of them are scams

many are saying since clanker a lot came back on farcaster who were absent a long time already...so at least all that madness has a positive side effect lol!😁
