What’s the dumbest or most annoying thing VCs do?

For some reason, most VCs seem to share a worldview.  There are subtle differences, but when one VC has picked up on a narrative, all others seem on board almost immediately. (Ie switch from AI->crypto->AI->crypto)

It’s understandable, but kind of annoying when they are preaching “must be contrarian and right”

The reason is crystal clear; most of the VCs are servants of the big guys moving capital. How many VCs out there actually have the (human/capital) resources to 1) do the research 2) shape the narrative and 3) bet for 10+ years?
