every prompt + output will be hosted for sharing across devices/mobile and with team members/outsiders. Code editors on computers are inherently local first + not uploaded by default, whereas browser based code spaces are hosted/deployed first + automatically.

There may be desktop native apps for LLMs that do this, but vscode interface with this behaviour may feel kinda weird + also makes it much less accessible to non devs.
