The difference between a founder and career investors/executives is purpose vs profit. Founders work to maintain an org over the long term to pursue their purpose. The others work to maximize profit even making the org a shell of its former self (or shutting down entirely). People like to believe in hard facts, dollars & cents, etc. But the truth is you can’t build something worth building if you put money above purpose. Prophet motive > profit motive
