How is your read of a person on first interaction? Mine is decent, my wife is scary good. She picks up on every single subtle thing a person does and says. My eyes have been opened so much from her. Better to find out sooner rather than later who a person really is.

It’s funny - before crypto I would have said I was bad at this, but spotted a couple of bad seeds before it was apparent to the rest of the crowd. I’m still gonna say I am bad at this tho, cause past performance != future performance

Do you think your peers in the crypto space are less aware than your previous sphere, giving you a relative advantage of social perception here? Wonder how much we can improve in this department? Definitely some, but a big natural ability component. Maybe without natural ability, you just have to work harder at it

Honestly I am unsure. I def have been around a lot of startup hucksters (which are the people I identified) so it’s likely just experience. Lots of people in this space are building early-stage companies and have never done that before, so hard for them to identify a bad dev, for instance.

"I’m still gonna say I am bad at this tho, cause past performance != future performance" Sounds like you are better at reading people, or a specific type of person, through your experience being around them than before. I'd call that growth likely to inform future performance
