I once heard, “when the student is ready the master will appear.”

And so I worked as hard as I could to perfect my craft.  And when I made something remarkable a master did appear, but they knew less than me.  

So I again worked to perfect my craft, and the cycle continued.  I grew while discarding master after master.

Until I found myself in a place where people looked to me to lead.  And I realized the truth of the saying, “when the student is ready, the master will appear.”

I was finally ready to learn.  I was finally ready to teach.
