This discussion on Tildes was kind of eye-opening: so much negative sentiment towards Honey for stuffing its affiliate links, zero admission of fault from users. The ad industry is adversarial and always has been. If you are a user who: * doesn’t want to pay for content you enjoy * doesn’t want to view/hear ads in your content * doesn’t vet the browser extensions they are installing You are just as culpable as Honey for “stealing” from these influencers. I don’t even consider it stealing. To me it was obvious what Honey is doing, so I didn’t install their extension. Didn't read but did watch LegalEagle's vid IMO nothing special about what Honey did. The dirty dealer in the middle has existed since time immemorial... as old as the word "trade". Same with stupid buyers. Only "bad" was that they didn't disclose their practices, but so what? All wanted a free lunch and they got what they paid for!
