Truly a game changer Every hand held that came in its wake couldn't live up to what this device did. GameGear (terrible batter life & clunky) Lynx (terrible frame rate, came off as a bad GameGear clone) NGage - ahead of its time, but also suffered from the same sluggish issues To this day, Nintendo still reigns supreme in handhelds

Haha - my sister had a Gamegear and it was suuuuuper fun! ...but I mainly played with the AC Adaptor because it sucked up batteries like no one's business.

And it took 6 AA batteries! 2 more than GameBoy and had a fraction of the lifespan. It made more sense to have the adaptor, but that really kiboshed its portability aspect. Might as well just stick with the Genesis at that point.
