So since last week’s discussion I have been dropping into channels way more. There’s def something missing to make it a cozy corner. For instance, Reddit showing how many people are online at a given time makes it feel more happening/cozy

Another issue is that you don’t actually own a channel yet. Dan even calls them moderators, even though the UI says “owners.” If channel owners cannot control who can participate in their communities, then channels are more like hashtags than cozy corners. Warpcast clearly wants a monopoly on distribution which is why they also refuse to give us a pure chronological feed https://warpcast.com/dwr.eth/0x31017795

Yeah channels aren’t completely part of the protocol yet. That being said, there are two concepts: owner and moderators. Each channel has one owner who can appoint moderators.

My main point was that Zinger is making a good suggestion here. Let’s explore the scenario some more: A user who a channel owner considers a bad actor is casting in their channel. The channel owner and moderator does not curate the cast to the channel main feed. Bad actor is running a bot farm or is being followed by some legit users in the network who end up reacting to the cast. The cast now appears in the home feed and it contains the channel label. Now all users who see that cast in their home feed will associate your channel with the bad actor and w.e they said https://warpcast.com/zinger/0xfd448554
