When I was in high school, I thought I was busy. Then I entered college. When I was in college, I thought I was busy. Then I got a job. When I was working, I thought I was busy. Then I started a startup. When I was running a startup, I thought I was busy. Then I got married. When I was married, I thought I was busy. Then I had a kid. When I had one kid, I thought I was busy. It was just more time spent to something instead of nothing. I don't regret any of my decisions, they just made me realize how much time i wasted.

that sounds a tad … paradoxical 😅 … but I think I know what you mean … when it comes to my career decisions (getting a 2nd bachelors, in order to apply to graduate school). In hindsight, it sorta feels like a waste of time, but given the life context of the younger me, that was the *main* thing that made sense… and it was some learning experiences… interesting to reflect on the various phases of growing up tho! I like those types of discussions.

Ooooh, I wasn't saying that the things I listed were a waste of time, but that the time I had to do NOTHING (watch tv, go for a random bike ride, etc) was more than I thought it was. Like in high school I thought I was so busy and yet I still found time to play 3 hour games of Starcraft and Risk on a nightly basis. I honestly didn't even appreciate it. Now as a parent I relish my once-a-month D&D indulgences and know I'm damn lucky to have that time.
