According to Bloomberg, Russia is about to start a pilot project for cryptocurrency payments and transactions, scheduled to begin on September 1st. Russia will use the national payment card system to exchange between the ruble and cryptocurrencies when testing the payment and transaction platform. If the experiment is successful, it may allow the Moscow Exchange and the Saint Petersburg Currency Exchange to establish cryptocurrency platforms, where any existing cryptocurrency can be used for the experiment.
