I used to use the timer for boosts but after some time and math I found it to have marginal returns vs. just having a consistent strategy; planning what I grow during the day vs overnight, using polycultures to avoid the need to cram, etc.. Though I guess now that weekly quests are nerfed we'll all have to be degenerate timer-users lol
