there's some confusion around farcaster names, so let me clear this up: 

- your username on farcaster is ALWAYS an ENS name
- one kind of ens name is the farcaster name (v.farcaster.eth shown in client as @v)  
- the other kind of ens name is the L1 name (dwr.eth shown in client as @dwr.eth)

Farcaster and ENS’s success are both derived from the powerful onchain context and networks effects that are thanks to Ethereum.

Since early days, Farcaster has leveraged ENS names and made it compatible with Farcaster names. 

Both teams are aligned with Ethereum and we are only going to ship more together @ensdomains x @farcaster — stay tuned! 👀
