Another day, another Banksy 

A sculpture with a hidden face, pixels in its place🎭

Cardinal Sin is one of the most scandalous and, perhaps, the most satirically mocking works by Banksy. It is worth starting with the fact that the artist presented this sculpture to the public on Christmas Eve in 2011. This gesture was Banksy's reaction to the high-profile scandal related to child abuse, which for many years was committed with impunity by Catholic priests, and which was covered up and hushed up by the church. The very name of the sculpture contains an ironic play on words: "cardinal sin" is a phrase that is used in the meaning of "mortal sin".
