Yves Klein was the most prominent, influential and controversial French painter who flourished in the 1950s.  He is most remembered for his use of only one particular color, deep blue.
 In 1957, Klein claimed that the earth is blue in its entirety, and embodied this claim in a work called "The Blue Globe", and four years later, when Yuri Gagarin went into space, he announced that the color of the earth, based on his observations in space,  The blue is thick.
