Why does our mind resist change? Our mind has a comfort zone, shaped by all the habits and thought patterns we’ve accumulated over the years. It thrives on predictability, preferring routines that have become deeply ingrained. So, when we take the first step to break these patterns, everything can seem intimidating. We quickly feel discouraged, easily get tired, and think we’re not capable of succeeding. Initially, the mind does everything it can to maintain the previous state, which is why the process of change happens gradually and over time. When we become aware of this and understand that mental resistance is a natural part of the process, we can consciously stay committed to the path of growth and transformation.
