Tether will release a documentary about the stablecoin Tether (USDT) called “Stability and Freedom in Chaos.”

The release of the film is timed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the creation of USDT, but it is not yet known when exactly the film will be shown. To tease, the company’s employees uploaded a trailer demonstrating the importance of USDT for residents of countries with high inflation, such as Turkey and Argentina.

The authors of the film claim that stablecoins bring people financial freedom and allow them to protect their savings from depreciation. Thanks to this, USDT has gained popularity in countries around the world, has become a convenient means of payment and an important tool for trading cryptocurrencies.

In Russia, USDT is also in high demand. According to the US Treasury Department, Russians use stablecoins to circumvent economic sanctions. US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo claims that conventional methods cannot prevent cross-border payments in USDT, so he proposes introducing secondary sanctions against cryptocurrency service providers who violate the sanctions regime or cooperate with criminals, such as hackers.
