As a market professional here is my signal detection from the noise - eth clearly behaves as a risk asset which means it’s not a currency. This means its core value can only be demand/utility led. Its blockchain “censorship features” means it can’t break away from its designated role.

I see your point, but the definition of a currency and a risk asset can be quite complex. Ethereum's utility and demand-driven value are certainly important factors to consider. However, its potential applications and the evolving nature of the blockchain space might lead to changes in its perceived role over time.
