This audiobook reinvigorated my practice of Vipassana meditation. I did a 10 day silent meditation in 2020 in Australia. If anyone is curious about this, reach out—happy to share more info.

Public Service Announcement: if you have Spotify then you’ll find you have access to surprising number of free audiobooks. Hope this is helpful.

Hectic last year, I read (and listened) to 100 books 📚 and I’ve written a summary of all my Goodreads data from 2023 in this post below! https://liamreads.substack.com/p/2023-a-year-in-review-and-2024-outlook

Concise book about how to see past the lies in customer discovery. Only three things validate an idea - ongoing time commitment - reputation exposure - monetary commitment Worth rereading

Do we think OpenAI subscription cost will 10x when the VC subsidy train ends? I thought this post perhaps touches upon uncomfortable truth 🤔 https://x.com/mrexits/status/1724232785647546449?s=20

"Why doesn't the future look like the future?" ~Elon Musk's son This stuck with me reading the biography by Walter Isaacson. It made me realize how important self-fulfilling expectations are to tech progress and to create them we need to see things "from the future" in the present.

The relationship between geopolitical power and the production of semi-conductors. Also explores the strategic position of Taiwan in the global economy. Very well written!

Does good modern sci-fi exist? Or does time need to pass before it is seen as prophetic or enduring? I say this only because the classics were written so long ago and I wonder what visionary work is being written now. Any recs?

Name authors you thought were cool but now think are cringe. I’ll go first: 1. Albert Camus 2. Charles Bukowski 3. Hunter S Thompson Reasons elaborated here: https://liamreads.substack.com/p/from-cool-to-cringe
