Lost my temper and yelled at my kid tonight.

Feel like shit about it. 

He just doesn’t seem to respond to anything but.

Frustrating. 

Apologized for raising my voice and reiterated that he’s a good boy and his actions are separate from his worth. 

Still, feel like shit.

I was strong willed too. Still am. Don’t want to stifle that in them, but also trying to balance not getting trampled by these relentless tiny humans haha

I used to do some yelling and feel the same way. Sometimes we just get pushed beyond our threshold that day. 

Us who were raised in the previous generations dealt with a lot more yelling, spanking, hell, even beatings for some and we turned out (mostly) fine.
