* Fisherman's Wharf is quite touristy, but it's worth visiting for the clam chowder in a bread bowl and for people-watching.
* In my past life, I used to take my students to Hawk Hill. We would bike across the Golden Gate Bridge and hike up.
* For restaurants, I personally like Mensho for ramen. Be sure to go early!
