I don't think it's appreciated how quickly we're switching from the paradigm of users paying for gas to application developers covering 100% of gas costs for users.

Not paying gas is less friction for the user but prone to bots. During the last bullrun every relevant drop botted, bots even participated in gas wars. This is solvable by agreeing on a proof of humanity solution though. Another issue is people spending the entire gas-money pool in a single tx when network is clogged.

Newcoiners will be expecting a web2 experience Would cause a lot of friction to introducing them to using gass and since we plan on abstracting that fee away, might aswell give design it like that from the getgo
