As I engage with founders from both web2 and web3, I’ve noticed a stronger emphasis on validating ideas through user observation/interviews in web2, contrasting with web3's build-first approach

As we pivot towards more /consumercrypto use cases, curious whether we’ll put more emphasis on user validation in web3?

web3 vs web2 product development, in broad strikes:
- more community-driven (or can be)
- more building in public
- can be more accelerated due to composability
- less emphasis on user research because the market is new (imo)
- poorer understanding of product/growth best practices like onboarding, referrals, etc

In web3 often the point of departure is a token, a narrative or the tech - rather than solving a problem that is painful and a lot of people have. Can quickly lead to a “roadmap” with milestones timed to keep speculators interested around a tge, listings, mainnet launches etc
