if channels are still centralized can we get a rename feature on the root name?? or a delete??

i’d take lost casts as an option for the ones that i want to rename but def not a scalable solution

Rename is tricky since all of the existing channel casts point to that name (which is an exact string rather than an identifier like an FID) so they would either be lost or have to be manually tracked

I think they're hoping to decentralize soon and in the new model I'm pretty sure they'll use something like CIDs so that you would be able to rename the channel without affecting existing casts
