I think open markets are generally bad for early stage communities and ventures.

Massively distracting. Attracts speculators, activist 'investors' and unaligned people. Distorts incentives if things go too high or low. Financializes your culture and centers your movement irrevocably around price.

There's some exceptions but overall I've seen the same things play out thousands of times over the years.

yea these last 9 months have been an absolute onslaught for scaling /higher as a concept 

feels like we got an incredible amount of luck in the core members that resonated and the timing of it showing up in the market 

idk that i’d recommend the next wave to replicate that blueprint

I think higher is unique because the creators and instigators of higher as a brand are detached enough, and I think creates a unique buffer between the value of higher as a token, and the value of higher as a brand. I think higher is unique - count me as a fan
