A user just lost $550,000 due to "Address Poisoning" 🚨 According to ScamSniffer's security monitoring, on August 21st, a user lost ETH worth $550,000 when attempting to deposit funds into the Kucoin exchange by copying an address from their transaction history. Attackers employ automated systems to scan blockchain transactions and create customized, intelligent poisoning strategies for each user. When they detect any wallet transfer activity, they automatically send small amounts of genuine USDT or other tokens, transfer fake tokens matching the amount of a genuine address, or flood the transaction history with dozens of fake token transfers to obscure legitimate records. If you happen to copy an address from your wallet or blockchain explorer's transaction history, you're likely to send funds to the wrong address and lose your assets. Precautions : 1.
